Tara (*2004 †2016)

Tara came into our lives in 2004. We found her in a little pet shop in Liège – the last puppy left, small, a bit shy, but with the most beautiful, gentle eyes. From that moment, she became our golden girl.

She was the sweetest family dog you could ever wish for: always wagging her tail, always ready to greet you with pure joy, and never happier than when she was near the people she loved. Like every Golden Retriever, water was her absolute passion – rivers, lakes, puddles, even the garden hose – if that’s all there was!

In 2016, cancer took her from us far too soon. We had to say goodbye, but we did so knowing we had given her twelve wonderful years filled with love.

We’re certain she’s running free now, splashing through endless streams up there, watching over us with that same happy sparkle in her eyes.

Rest in peace, my sweet old girl. You’ll always be in our hearts. 🐾❤️
